Location: Arlington Heights, Illinois, United States; full-time, primarily clinic-based, with some virtual care via telemedicine. Responsibilities may include hospital rounding and weekend or after-hours calls.

Salary: $110,000–$160,000 per year.

What you will do

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for oncology patients and their families.
  • Initiate and document interventions, evaluate responses, and prescribe therapies as indicated.
  • Perform procedures after completing appropriate training.
  • Educate patients and families, promote wellness, and recommend community resources.
  • Apply evidence-based research to clinical practice and support staff education.
  • Complete charge capture, medical records, reimbursement documentation, and possible case-management activities.

Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current RN and Nurse Practitioner licensure in the practicing state.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
  • Entry-level profile with typically 0–3 years of post-MSN experience, preferably in the relevant specialty.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of patient care, including extended standing and walking and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.

Nice to have

  • Experience in oncology or the selected clinical specialty.
  • Knowledge of community resources and reimbursement procedures.
