Geospatial Solutions Supervisor

Location: Occasional travel to project locations as needed; the role collaborates with both office-based and field-based staff.

What you will do

• Lead geospatial data processing, quality control, and solutions engineering for survey projects.
• Design and optimize workflows, data pipelines, automation scripts, batch processes, and API integrations.
• Oversee LiDAR, GPR, thermal imagery, RGB imagery, GIS datasets, data security, backups, and archival practices.
• Configure geospatial platforms and coordinate with IT, vendors, cloud providers, and field teams on system performance and data quality.
• Research and pilot AI-assisted classification, advanced analytics, real-time delivery, and other new geospatial services.
• Provide technical leadership, training, client-facing consulting, proposal support, and guidance on field data capture standards.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Geography, GIS, Remote Sensing, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Extensive experience processing LiDAR data, including LAS formats, classification schemas, and quality metrics.
• Proficiency with GIS applications such as ArcGIS or QGIS and integration of geospatial and CAD formats.
• Experience with Python or similar scripting and automation tools, cloud-hosted platforms, data integration, and API usage.
• Knowledge of transmission and distribution infrastructure, including power lines, poles, and related components.
• Experience managing concurrent geospatial projects, mentoring technical staff, producing documentation, and communicating with clients.

Nice to have

• FAA Part 107 certification or knowledge of UAS operations.
• Experience with AI/ML-assisted classification, point cloud analytics, or similar advanced techniques.
• Experience with LiDAR processing, GIS, and photogrammetry software platforms.
