Project Safety Manager - Overnight Shift (Civil Construction)

Location: Point Pleasant, West Virginia, United States; overnight shift. The role is performed in a construction site environment, and subsequent projects are nationally based.

What you will do

• Oversee project safety disciplines and monitor day-to-day construction operations during the night shift.
• Implement and manage the project safety program, including site safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct new-hire orientations, safety training, and safety meetings.
• Monitor heavy construction work for compliance and stop unsafe work when necessary.
• Assess risks, investigate incidents, and provide project safety statistics and analysis.
• Support project setup and collaborate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and the regional safety team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a construction safety supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude and excellent motivational skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach, and climb on construction sites; exposure to high noise levels.

Nice to have

• OSHA 500 or equivalent.
• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
