National Site Safety Manager (Construction Safety)

Location: Nationwide, United States; requires co-location at project locations and travel according to the hirify.global traveling plan.

Salary: $92,160–$128,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and manage site-specific safety programs, including LOTO, confined spaces, and fall protection.
• Oversee the daily activities of Project Safety Representatives and support up to eight direct reports.
• Lead safety pre-planning meetings with project management, subcontractors, trade partners, general contractors, and owners.
• Deliver safety orientations, specialty training, toolbox talks, safety reports, and safety bulletins.
• Conduct jobsite surveys and equipment inspections, identify hazards and safe work practices, and maintain site safety manuals.
• Lead investigations and incident reviews for accidents, recordable injuries, high-potential incidents, near misses, and good catches.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and required BCSP CHST or CSP certification.
• At least five years of construction safety experience.
• Ability to lead daily activities of up to eight direct reports and make independent, timely decisions.
• Strong training, communication, influence, conflict-management, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work at construction jobsites, walk on uneven surfaces, respond to stressful or emergency situations, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Required personal protective equipment includes a hard hat, work boots, safety glasses, gloves, and a high-visibility vest.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Safety experience in the electrical industry.
