Senior Hardware Test Engineer (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Mountain View, California, or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; hybrid work requires being in an hirify.global office at least 3 days per week.

Salary: $127,000–$204,000 per year for Mountain View roles; $115,000–$184,000 per year for Pittsburgh roles. Annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits are also provided.

What you will do

• Own hardware and software tests for complex electrical computer systems.
• Support design and production validation of autonomous hardware, including computers and integrated sensor pods.
• Participate in root cause analysis, corrective action, and debugging efforts.
• Support modules through environmental and vibration testing and validation.
• Own and maintain test infrastructure for hardware validation.

Requirements

• Multidisciplinary experience across firmware, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering, with deep expertise in one area and working knowledge of the others.
• Working knowledge of test equipment, including thermal chambers, vibration tables, liquid chillers, power supplies, electronic loads, and data acquisition systems.
• Ability to work from an hirify.global office at least 3 days per week in the United States.
• Authorization to work lawfully in the United States may be required.

Nice to have

• Degree in mechatronics, electrical engineering, or computer systems engineering.
• Python experience for test automation, data analysis, and larger testing frameworks.
• Experience conducting thermal vibration testing.
• Experience working in Linux and with computer networking.
