Heavy Equipment Operator

What you will do

• Operate D-10 and D-9 dozers, front-end loaders, Bobcats, manlifts, track hoes, and forklifts to move and level petroleum products and materials.
• Train on and operate overhead cranes, remote-controlled ship loaders, conveyors, and rail equipment, including car dumping, switching, and locomotive operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on mobile and stationary equipment, documenting completed work.
• Assist coworkers and maintenance crews with operational tasks.
• Follow company, customer, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Eight months to one year of heavy equipment experience, particularly with D9 dozers and track hoes.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
• Must obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and meet foreign trade zone entry requirements.
• Must pass required safety training, DISA facility testing, and respiratory fit testing.
• Ability to work rotating day or night shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays with little to no notice.
