Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Location: Imperial, Pennsylvania, USA; onsite, full time

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on diesel, gasoline, and electrical trucks and heavy equipment.
• Inspect compactors, excavators, wheel loaders, and other vehicles for condition, operation, fluid levels, tires, and safety equipment.
• Check, replace, and maintain fluids, filters, lubrication points, cooling systems, and other vehicle components.
• Identify equipment problems, adjust systems, power wash equipment, and move vehicles in and out of the repair area.
• Document work orders, parts usage, labor time, hours, fuel, and oil consumption in reports and the Dossier fleet management system.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a technician position.
• Knowledge and application of OSHA Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout, and Fire Protection regulations.
• Mechanical trade school certificate or degree.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Excel and word-processing applications.
• Complete the Republic PM Program, One Fleet Republic Way program, or other applicable training during employment when required.
