Senior Engineering Manager, Product Engineering (Automotive)

Location: Southfield, Michigan, United States. Onsite role with physical presence and occasional lifting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, and stair climbing. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary Project Engineering teams across multiple global regions.
• Provide technical direction for the design, development, integration, validation, launch, and ongoing support of advanced power systems.
• Oversee multiple engineering programs, including schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and technical issue resolution.
• Review and approve engineering requirements, schematics, technical documentation, and validation plans.
• Partner with Program Management, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, Supply Chain, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Drive innovation initiatives and contribute to technology roadmaps and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of systems engineering experience delivering complex engineering solutions.
• 5+ years of leadership or people management experience, including team development and performance management.
• Deep understanding of low-voltage and high-voltage architectures, components, safety requirements, and ISO, UL, and IEC standards.
• Strong project management, written and verbal communication, cross-functional leadership, and stakeholder influence skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship is required; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
