Cordset Engineering Manager (Automotive)

Location: Onsite at the EDS Troy Corporate Offices in Troy, Michigan, USA; local residents or candidates willing to relocate

What you will do

• Lead a regional team of product engineers and collaborate across functional areas and multi-regional teams.
• Own product development projects from proof of concept through PPAP and SOP, delivering state-of-the-art engineering outputs.
• Ensure on-time delivery and quality of engineering outputs against project plans.
• Support business objectives through cost optimization, customer service, and product-line execution.
• Prepare leadership updates and help expand charging products into non-automotive markets.
• Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and interface with customers and suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent degree.
• 3–5 years of experience designing or developing electrical or electronic products for the automotive industry.
• Experience leading a team of product engineers in a mid-size or large organization.
• Customer and supplier interfacing experience, strong communication, organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Project, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Visio.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship or transfer.

Nice to have

• Experience with EV architecture and high-voltage connection systems.
• Relevant industry certifications and functional safety knowledge.
• Electronics and PCBA competency.
