Mechanical Engineering Senior Manager

Location: Hybrid in Bothell, Washington, United States

Salary: $165,000–$190,000 per year, depending on skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop teams of lead and senior mechanical engineers.
• Set mechanical engineering strategies, priorities, resource plans, schedules, budgets, and milestones.
• Provide technical governance for mechanical design, analysis, validation, documentation, safety, quality, reliability, compliance, and manufacturability.
• Oversee mechanical deliverables across the product lifecycle, from concept and development through production and sustaining support.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management on product launches, production readiness, manufacturing transitions, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Lead research technology management projects, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive mechanical engineering experience, including at least 5 years in engineering leadership or management.
• Experience supporting manufacturing environments and engineered products.
• Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional engineering initiatives.
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals, applied design experience, project and program management skills, communication, stakeholder management, and structured problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to use Microsoft 365 tools, including Copilot AI.
