Manager - Engineering

What you will do

• Plan and direct engineering activities across the manufacturing facility.
• Lead facility expansion and capacity-addition projects.
• Procure and implement new processes, technologies, and equipment.
• Support ongoing manufacturing operations and ensure health, safety, and environmental regulatory compliance.
• Ensure projects and initiatives follow established project management methods, policies, and objectives.
• Lead business improvement efforts, manage resources, and resolve complex technical, operational, and organizational problems.

Requirements

• Four-year college degree.
• At least 10 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Expert knowledge of engineering principles, standards, methods, and practices.
• Experience developing departmental plans, managing resources, and achieving financial and operational objectives.
• Ability to lead and manage employee performance, coach professionals, and provide training and development.
• Willingness to investigate problems in mill manufacturing areas and travel as required.

Nice to have

• Five or more years of managerial experience in a related technical discipline or manufacturing.
• Experience developing relationships with key customers and identifying emerging needs.
• Ability to apply statistical methods to business decision-making.
