Engineering Manager (Mechanical)

Location: On-site in Gulfport, Mississippi, United States; four 10-hour days per week with every Friday off.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and motivate mechanical engineers and technicians working against strict defense timelines.
• Coordinate internal resources around high-priority manufacturing tasks and maintain accountability on the manufacturing floor.
• Drive production schedules and remove technical, tooling, procedural, and process bottlenecks.
• Guide work from initial engineering layouts through final Naval product delivery.
• Streamline engineering workflows while balancing rapid development with Navy quality-control standards.
• Implement best practices in fiberglass manufacturing, structural testing, and mechanical design.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical field.
• At least 8 years of engineering experience with a proven manufacturing track record.
• Experience managing or leading engineering teams.
• SolidWorks proficiency for evaluating layouts and driving technical execution.
• Must be a U.S. citizen eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
• Must be able to work on-site in Gulfport, Mississippi, on a compressed 4/10 schedule.

Nice to have

• Experience in fiberglass, composites, or heavy marine and defense manufacturing.
• Existing Secret Clearance.
