Engineering Manager II (Aerospace)

Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States; office or hybrid setting required; travel up to 10%.

What you will do

• Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team and deliver project milestones.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and engineering deliverables.
• Drive technical solutions to complex engineering challenges.
• Ensure engineering work complies with applicable standards and regulations.
• Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Mentor engineering staff and present technical updates to stakeholders and senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in a related discipline.
• Typically 8+ years of progressive engineering experience, including 4+ years of management experience.
• Thorough understanding of engineering principles and practices.
• Experience with computer-aided engineering tools, analysis, and simulation.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary design and development teams.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Aerospace and defense, U.S. Department of Defense, or U.S. military experience.
• Experience recruiting, assigning, evaluating, and developing engineering staff.
• Experience preparing project schedules, budgets, bids, and estimates.
• Microsoft Project proficiency.
• Experience in rapid prototyping and fielding capabilities in collaborative, fast-paced environments.
