Engineering Manager (SaaS)

Location: Remote, near one of the approved U.S. hiring hubs: DC/Maryland/Virginia; Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill, NC; Denver/Colorado Springs, CO; or Dallas/Fort Worth/Austin, TX. U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary: $210,000–$230,000 base salary annually, with potential bonuses and equity.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a distributed engineering team while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Drive technical initiatives that improve the scalability, reliability, and performance of the Game Warden platform.
• Partner with Product, Platform, and Security teams to define roadmaps, prioritize work, and deliver milestones.
• Provide technical guidance and architectural oversight aligned with engineering best practices and compliance requirements.
• Translate strategic objectives into actionable engineering plans and contribute to engineering processes, tooling, and delivery frameworks.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop engineering talent as the company scales.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years managing or leading technical teams.
• Experience leading distributed teams in high-growth or startup environments.
• Strong knowledge of modern software development, cloud infrastructure, AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong technical judgment, strategic thinking, communication, and people leadership skills.
• U.S. citizenship required; candidates must reside in an approved hiring hub.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling SaaS or platform products in defense, government, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, SOC 2, infrastructure-as-code, observability, and automation frameworks.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with Product, Security, and Operations.
• Active security clearance or previous work in cleared environments.
