Salary: $210,000–$230,000

What you will do
- Lead and mentor a distributed engineering team fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Drive execution of technical initiatives to improve scalability, reliability, and performance of core platforms.
- Collaborate with Product, Platform, and Security teams to define roadmaps and prioritize work.
- Provide technical guidance and architectural oversight ensuring best practices and compliance.
- Recruit and develop engineering talent aligned with company mission and culture.
- Contribute to evolving engineering processes and delivery frameworks as the company scales.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship required due to government contract requirements.
- Must reside in one of the approved U.S. hiring hubs.
- 6+ years professional software engineering experience with 2+ years in technical leadership.
- Experience leading distributed teams in high-growth or startup environments.
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance preferred.
Nice to have
- Experience with SaaS or platform products in regulated or security-sensitive industries.
- Familiarity with secure software development frameworks (NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, SOC 2).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code, observability, and automation frameworks.
- Proven success leading cross-functional initiatives and driving agile continuous improvement.
- Active security clearance or prior work in cleared environments.
