Senior Engineering Manager, RF Hardware (Aerospace)

Location: Westminster, Colorado, United States; on-site. The role supports a team primarily located in Austin and Westminster, with a smaller presence in El Segundo. Applicants must be eligible under U.S. Government Space Technology Export Regulations: U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or candidates eligible to obtain the required U.S. authorizations.

What you will do

• Lead the technical quality and on-time delivery of board-level RF hardware from architecture and design through production.
• Build, scale, and manage an initial team of approximately 8–12 RF hardware engineers.
• Establish scalable processes for signal-chain design, simulation, schematic capture, and dense, high-layer-count PCB layout.
• Conduct architecture and design reviews, provide technical mentorship, and lead complex RF electronics debug efforts.
• Ensure designs support manufacturability, testability, quality, reliability, and production scalability.
• Drive collaboration with manufacturing engineering, supply chain, production test, quality, and operations on production handoff, component availability, lifecycle risk, cost, and design reuse.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 9 years of direct board-level RF hardware engineering experience, preferably in aerospace.
• Deep expertise in RF board design, including the digital and power electronics required for RF systems.
• Experience with DFM, DFT, development-to-production transitions, and rigorous technical reviews.
• Proficiency with PathWave System Design/SystemVue, RF Synthesis/Genesys, HFSS, and Altium.
• Strong technical, non-technical, cross-disciplinary communication, mentoring, and people-management skills.
