Engineering Manager, Computer Aided Design Services and Configuration Control (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in New Port Richey, Florida, United States. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with approximately 10% domestic and international travel.

What you will do

• Provide technical direction, leadership, and management for the CAD and Configuration Control team.
• Deliver drawings, models, and related technical documents for bids, detailed design, and product support.
• Maintain configuration control requirements and commercial responsibility across projects.
• Establish KPIs, track workload and productivity, and promote standardized best practices and continuous improvement.
• Review customer specifications and contractual change-control obligations, ensuring configuration databases are properly maintained.
• Support customer functional and physical configuration audits and advise engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or an equivalent technical field, with at least 5 years of experience managing technical resources and functional departments.
• Alternatively, a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 10 years of experience leading aerospace configuration management, document control, or engineering service functions.
• At least 5 years of technical supervisory experience.
• U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required for access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.
• Onsite presence in New Port Richey, Florida, is required, along with willingness and ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience with aerospace design engineering, associated milestones, and requirements.
• Experience with new product introduction project management from a resource manager’s perspective.
