Mechanical Engineer (Automotive)

Location: hirify.global, Wisconsin, United States; regular in-person attendance required

Salary: $64,500–$103,500 per year

What you will do

• Perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, analyses, and technical reporting under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Design, develop, and validate chassis systems and components, including suspension, steering, braking, drivetrain, and wheel hub reduction systems.
• Prepare layouts, drawings, specifications, bills of material, technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations.
• Evaluate designs for performance, safety, durability, manufacturability, and reliability using analytical and simulation tools.
• Support manufacturing facilities with production support, troubleshooting, product development, and process improvements; occasional travel may be required.
• Collaborate with structural and dynamic analysis teams, suppliers, manufacturing teams, customers, and other internal disciplines.

Requirements

• Accredited bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Internship experience or at least six months of related work experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical design principles and engineering standards.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate across engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Ability to work regularly in person in hirify.global, Wisconsin.

Nice to have

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Knowledge of automotive, off-highway, agricultural, or heavy-duty vehicle systems.
• Experience with Creo or CATIA, casting and machining, fabrication, or tooling design.
• Exposure to MATLAB/Simulink, Python, finite element analysis, and GD&T.
• Hands-on experience from Formula SAE, Baja SAE, snowmobile, robotics, capstone, internship, or similar engineering projects.
