Project Engineer - Design Team Lead (Automotive)

Location: Remote, U.S. locations; must be available during business hours with availability between 6:00am–4:30pm Eastern Time.

Salary: $82,900–$134,300 annually.

What you will do

• Lead a subset of approximately 8–11 designers and coordinate activities with the broader Design Team.
• Coach and develop team members through feedback, mentoring, professional development, and individual development plans.
• Manage workload, schedules, priorities, resource allocation, budgets, and team deliverables.
• Mentor high-level analysis and design of new and modified components and subsystems.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers, resolve engineering issues, and support project execution.
• Drive continuous improvement, maintain project documentation, and enforce engineering criteria and drawing standards.

Requirements

• Accredited bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Five or more years of related experience.
• At least three years of leadership experience, including employee development, workload management, team performance, and process improvement.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, leadership, and influencing skills.
• Strong knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle equipment and related systems.
• Experience with a high-level CAD system.
