Inspector II (3rd Shift)

Location: Norwich, Connecticut, USA; onsite in a manufacturing and warehouse environment; 3rd shift

What you will do

• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of molded parts and assemblies according to work instructions.
• Enter inspection data into the appropriate computer files.
• Use pin gages, digital calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and other measuring equipment.
• Place defective products on hold and perform special quality, assembly, and sorting inspections.
• Report part and assembly issues to the responsible supervisor or QA management.
• Maintain good housekeeping and follow measures to prevent pollution and other environmental impacts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Solid computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office experience.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• At least 3 years of experience in quality or production, basic mechanical and measuring equipment, and a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, including frequent stooping, bending, and movement around the facility.
• Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 70 lbs.
