Inspector I

Location: East Providence, Rhode Island, USA; onsite lab/manufacturing environment

Nordson EFD designs and manufactures fluid dispensing systems and single-use fluid packaging.

What you will do

• Perform variable and attribute inspections according to sampling plans and document findings.
• Interpret basic blueprints, dimensions, and part-specific notes.
• Measure products using luer gages, go/no-go pins, digital calipers, optical comparators, tensile testers, and other equipment.
• Conduct functional testing and determine product acceptability using workmanship standards and procedures.
• Package, weigh, label, and record accepted and rejected products.
• Disposition, sort, and rework products as needed while caring for inspection equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to remain standing during working hours and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to use hands for inspections and meet close-, color-, and depth-vision requirements.

Nice to have

• Prior quality assurance experience.
