Inspector I (2nd Shift) (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Norwich, Connecticut, United States; 2nd shift in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.

What you will do

• Perform periodic visual, dimensional, and functional testing of molded parts and assemblies according to work instructions.
• Record inspection data in the appropriate computer files.
• Use pin gauges, digital calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and other measuring equipment.
• Place defective products on hold and perform special quality inspections, assembly inspections, and sorting projects.
• Communicate part and assembly issues to supervisors and Quality Assurance management.
• Maintain good housekeeping and follow measures to prevent pollution and other environmental impacts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to communicate in English required.
• Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office experience.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, with frequent stooping, bending, sitting, standing, and movement around the facility.
• Physical ability to lift boxes weighing up to 70 pounds.
