Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) (Oncology)

Location: Lakeway, Texas, United States; onsite Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm. No weekends, call, or major holidays.

What you will do

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of patient care.
• Assess patient health status, medical history, and patient and family needs.
• Provide patient education, instructional materials, and psychosocial support.
• Manage medication refill requests, triage patient calls, and document relevant information in patient charts.
• Schedule consultations, testing, procedures, referrals, and future appointments.
• Coordinate communication and services between patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams; act as a resource to LPNs/LVNs and medical assistants.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license and registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Level 1: 0-3 years of nursing experience; oncology experience preferred.
• Level 2: 3-5 years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology preferred.
• Senior level: five years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology preferred; role requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
