AI-First UI/UX Designer (Shopify)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 per year, plus potential stock options and discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Own UI/UX design for fireclaytile.com from concept and Figma through build-ready specifications.
• Manage Shopify Plus backend configuration, including products, collections, metafields, checkout, apps, navigation, and discounts.
• Lead design for custom development projects, including Salesforce and Shopify integration and the sample ordering experience.
• Partner with Growth Marketing on landing pages, CRO experiments, site performance, and AI-assisted workflows.
• Work with leadership to understand market direction and direct remote or offshore developers.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States; the role is remote within the US.
• At least 5 years of UI/UX design experience in e-commerce, with significant Shopify or Shopify Plus experience.
• Expert-level Figma skills and the ability to produce build-ready specifications.
• Strong Shopify Plus administration skills, with HTML, CSS, and Liquid literacy for quality assurance and small prototypes.
• Experience in the home category, such as tile, flooring, furniture, fixtures, building materials, or décor.
• Ability to work independently, direct remote developers, and apply strong e-commerce, conversion, performance, mobile-first, and accessibility practices.
