Field Operations Supervisor

Location: Field-based across U.S. power infrastructure projects; frequent travel and work in diverse weather conditions are required.

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary field teams including GPR technicians, survey technicians, UAS pilots, and field survey data processing analysts.
• Plan and schedule field survey activities, coordinate crew work plans, and monitor progress against project requirements, deadlines, and budgets.
• Oversee accurate data capture using GPS/GNSS, UAVs, cameras, GPR, LiDAR, and related field equipment.
• Lead job safety planning, site checks, incident investigations, and corrective actions while enforcing company, client, regulatory, and aviation requirements.
• Manage equipment allocation, fleet coordination, inventory, calibration readiness, travel, lodging, and crew mobilization.
• Perform basic field-level quality checks and coordinate data handoffs and operational updates with geospatial, engineering, project management, and client stakeholders.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Geography, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with traditional and modern survey equipment, including GPS/GNSS, UAVs, cameras, and GPR.
• Working knowledge of LiDAR data collection, GIS and geospatial concepts, field data workflows, and basic quality assurance.
• Experience with field scheduling, crew management, fleet coordination, equipment inventory, and training or mentoring field personnel.
• Strong understanding of transmission and distribution infrastructure, including power lines, poles, and related equipment.
• Ability to work long hours outdoors, travel frequently, lead multiple crews, and communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.

Nice to have

• FAA Part 107 certification or knowledge of UAS operations.
• Familiarity with field data collection applications, UAS flight software, GIS or mapping tools, and project tracking systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Pro.
