Field Operations Coordinator (Weather Technology)

Location: Madison, Wisconsin, with travel to customer locations across the United States. Approximately 50% travel is required; the remaining time supports operations and equipment preparation.

What you will do

• Coordinate installation and maintenance appointments with customers, technicians, and internal stakeholders.
• Confirm site access, schedules, logistics, equipment shipments, and project materials before field visits.
• Prepare, test, package, and track equipment, tools, parts, and warehouse inventory.
• Maintain installation documents, checklists, photos, service notes, and inventory reports.
• Support field technicians with weather station installations, inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Progressively take ownership of routine installations, mechanical maintenance, basic troubleshooting, safety procedures, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Entry-level candidate with 2–3 years of experience in field service, installation, warehouse, construction, facilities, logistics, military service, or operations coordination preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude, strong organization, dependability, attention to detail, and effective customer communication.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions, checklists, and safety procedures while working independently and with a partially remote team.
• Ability to use basic workplace technology for scheduling, documentation, inventory, and customer communication.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on ladders, at heights, and on irregular surfaces.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, eligibility to be insured on company vehicles, and willingness to drive a company vehicle.
