What you will do
- Perform complete mechanical and tooling setups on CNC milling centers, including fixtures, part zeroes, tool loading, and offsets.
- Review, edit, and troubleshoot G-code and M-code programs at the machine control.
- Operate Fanuc, Haas, and Okuma CNC control platforms, with strong preference for Fanuc experience.
- Read engineering prints, process sheets, and GD&T specifications to manufacture components to exacting requirements.
- Perform first-piece and in-process dimensional inspections using precision metrology equipment.
- Identify tooling wear, resolve setup discrepancies, make minor adjustments, and perform routine preventive maintenance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of direct experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines in a precision machine shop or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Fanuc CNC controls; Haas or Okuma experience is beneficial.
- Practical ability to read, edit, and troubleshoot CNC code at the control.
- Strong blueprint interpretation skills, shop math, analytical ability, and understanding of tight-tolerance manufacturing.
- Own standard precision inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, dial test indicators, and basic hand tools.
- Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and able to provide professional references.
