CNC Machinist III - 2nd Shift (CNC Machining)

Location: Onsite at 110 Norfolk Street, Walpole, Massachusetts, United States of America. Second shift. U.S. Citizenship required; must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

Hourly pay: $31.61–$47.42 USD. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is paid in two installments, with repayment required if employment ends before two years.

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and complex 5-axis and 6-axis machining centers.
• Produce large-scale components such as hubs, impellers, and CPP propellers from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Select tooling, adjust offsets, and verify machine parameters for complex geometries.
• Perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMM equipment, and other precision instruments.
• Complete deburring, polishing, grinding, production documentation, and maintenance logs.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality control, supervisors, and machinists to resolve production issues.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a machinist.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Knowledge of machining fundamentals, G-code, M-code, and shop mathematics.
• Ability to read technical drawings and apply GD&T requirements.
• Proficiency with precision inspection tools.
• U.S. Citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance. Ability to wear PPE, stand for extended periods, perform physical work, and lift up to 55 pounds.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree or CNC Machining Technology certification.
• Defense manufacturing experience.
• Experience with Fanuc or Siemens CNC controls.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, or TPM principles.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
