Machine Operator (CNC Milling)

Location: Onsite manufacturing environment; second shift, 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Salary: $25.00–$26.00 per hour plus a $2.00 per hour shift differential

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC vertical milling machines, saws, drill presses, and other production equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, job orders, and work instructions to produce components accurately.
• Perform secondary machining operations and adjust feeds, speeds, and tooling during production runs.
• Inspect materials, in-process components, and finished parts and report non-conforming parts or process deviations.
• Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, basic troubleshooting, production recording, and quality documentation.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop floor through 5S practices and required safety procedures.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines, including tooling and machining parameters.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, production prints, and shop-floor work instructions.
• Basic math skills and proficiency with calipers, micrometers, gauges, hand tools, and power tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot CNC and machining equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment and shift between machines as needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently lift or move up to 40 pounds; hearing protection and PPE are required where designated.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• CNC programming experience or training.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience with general manufacturing equipment.
