Senior Network Engineer (Juniper/Versa)

Salary: $142,000–$220,500 annual

A large retail and e-commerce organization operating enterprise-scale technology infrastructure.

What you will do

• Architect, deploy, and maintain Juniper EX/QFX switching and MX/SRX routing infrastructure across data center, campus, and branch environments.
• Design and operate Versa SD-WAN, including policies, security service chaining, analytics, and controlled upgrades.
• Lead Juniper Mist wireless deployments, including RF planning, SSID design, client SLA management, and identity/NAC integration.
• Build New Relic dashboards, NRQL queries, alert policies, and telemetry pipelines for network and cloud observability.
• Develop network automation and infrastructure-as-code using Python, Ansible, Terraform, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Design multi-cloud connectivity and security across AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCP, while mentoring engineers and collaborating on technical standards.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive hands-on enterprise network engineering experience.
• Deep expertise with Juniper EX, QFX, MX, SRX, Junos OS, CLI, and Junos automation APIs.
• Production experience designing and operating Versa SD-WAN and Juniper Mist wireless environments.
• Experience with New Relic observability, including dashboards, NRQL, alerting, SNMP, syslog, and flow telemetry.
• Proficiency in Python or another scripting language, plus network automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Nornir, or NAPALM.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, QoS, IPsec VPN, Wi-Fi standards, and troubleshooting across L1–L7.

Nice to have

• Juniper or Versa Networks certifications.
• Git-based CI/CD experience for network infrastructure and familiarity with Batfish or Forward Networks.
• Retail, e-commerce, or distributed multi-site enterprise experience.
• Cloud networking certifications or hands-on expertise across multiple cloud providers.
• Experience with containerized or virtual network functions in hybrid infrastructure.
