Network Solutions Engineer (Cloud Networking)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; the posting also lists Bellevue, AZ.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design and operate cloud networking architectures covering VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, security groups, and private connectivity.
• Build transit hub, hybrid connectivity, edge networking, DNS, CDN, global load-balancing, and WAF solutions.
• Automate infrastructure across the network estate with Terraform.
• Implement network security controls, harden the network perimeter, and enforce zero-trust principles.
• Operate Kubernetes networking and build observability using flow logs, traffic insights, and packet capture.
• Resolve complex cloud and hybrid networking issues while contributing to design reviews, code reviews, cost optimization, and mentoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, networking, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of networking experience, including significant cloud networking experience; the position listing also states 6+ years of experience.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider and hybrid connectivity such as Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, or equivalent technologies.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, BGP, cloud security controls, and packet-level troubleshooting.
• Experience with Terraform and familiarity with Kubernetes networking and service mesh fundamentals.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Cloud networking specialty certifications such as AWS Advanced Networking or Azure Network Engineer.
• Multi-cloud networking, cloud-to-cloud connectivity, SD-WAN, or SASE experience.
• Familiarity with eBPF-based networking tools.
• Experience with regulated industries and strict network segmentation requirements.
