Senior Capital Project Engineer (Automation)

Location: On-site in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, at least five days per week. Travel may include up to 20% domestic and 10% international travel.

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional teams through the planning and execution of medium- to high-complexity capital projects.
• Provide engineering support across project planning and execution phases.
• Develop, design, and select hardware and software for automated control systems.
• Manage project budgets, expenditures, purchasing, payments, and financial alternatives.
• Collaborate with teams and suppliers to troubleshoot equipment, perform maintenance, improve processes, and ensure equipment availability.
• Deliver projects according to established budgets and contract requirements.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience as a project engineer and/or control and automation engineer.
• Intermediate or advanced spoken and written English.
• Ability to work on-site in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, at least five days per week.
• Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and 10% internationally.

Nice to have

• Experience in project management, industrial process automation, and team leadership.
• Experience in manufacturing or metalworking.
• Experience with AB and Siemens automation software or Fanuc robot programming.
