Engineer Sr - Autonomy

Location: Frederick, Maryland, United States

Pay range: $79,300–$126,900 per year across U.S. locations.

What you will do

• Develop and integrate ROS2-based autonomy software.
• Support software architecture, motion planning, computer vision, sensor processing, graphical interfaces, and inter-process messaging for autonomous and embedded systems.
• Perform engineering calculations, investigations, software development, hardware selection, and related engineering tasks.
• Support field tests and travel to off-site locations as required.
• Develop software unit and regression tests and write requirements and design documentation.
• Coordinate with supervisors, suppliers, engineering specialists, and other departments on assigned programs.

Requirements

• Produce high-quality, maintainable C++ code.
• Proficiency in ROS2-based software development.
• Familiarity with Ubuntu 22.04 or later and distributed systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• At least three years of related professional experience.
• Regular attendance and availability for routine shift hours are required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Familiarity with Python and SQL databases.
