Location: Hybrid, supporting a program in Hanover, Maryland, United States

Salary: $135,100–$187,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications using modern frameworks and cloud-native architectures.
• Build React user interfaces and backend services, APIs, serverless functions, and integrations with Python and/or Node.js.
• Integrate Amazon Bedrock and other large language model platforms into enterprise applications.
• Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation, agentic AI workflows, and AI orchestration capabilities.
• Optimize prompts and model performance while supporting monitoring, troubleshooting, deployment automation, and cost-efficient AI solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and operationally efficient systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional full-stack software development experience.
• Professional experience with React or a similar frontend technology and Python and/or Node.js for backend development.
• Experience developing and deploying cloud-native applications in AWS, integrating APIs, asynchronous processing, and scalable backend services.
• Experience supporting at least one production-grade AI or machine learning implementation, plus knowledge of secure cloud architecture and DevSecOps practices.
• CompTIA Security+ certification is required; selected applicants may undergo a background investigation and education verification.

Nice to have

• Experience with Amazon Bedrock, enterprise generative AI platforms, RAG architectures, AI agents, or orchestration frameworks.
• Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, AI evaluation techniques, containerization, and orchestration technologies.
• Experience optimizing AI model usage for performance and cost efficiency.
• Experience supporting federal or Department of Defense environments.
