Software Development Engineer I (AI)

Location: Seattle office; hybrid and remote work options are available within the United States.

Salary: $105,000–$120,000 per year

What you will do

• Build and maintain LLM agent pipelines, MCP integrations, and retrieval-augmented generation systems.
• Develop production software with Python, FastAPI, LangChain, TypeScript, and React.
• Use Claude Code and other AI-assisted development tools for code generation, debugging, and iteration.
• Optimize AI-powered applications for scalability, reliability, and security.
• Translate loosely defined requirements into production-ready code and contribute to user stories and estimates.
• Perform code reviews, root-cause analyses, documentation, and unit and integration testing.

Requirements

• Fluency with AI-assisted development tools, specifically Claude Code, as a daily engineering practice.
• Production experience building LLM agent tools, agentic workflows, MCP integrations, or RAG systems.
• Production proficiency in Python, FastAPI, LangChain, TypeScript, and React.
• At least 2 years of production software development experience and at least 1 year working with LLM, agentic, or AI/ML systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, communication, problem-solving, and documentation.
