Full Stack Engineer (GenAI)

Location: Full-time, on-site at Sunnyvale HQ, California; no relocation provided

Base salary: $175,000–$200,000 per year, plus stock options

What you will do

• Own the engineering lifecycle and maintenance of internal GenAI applications used across Operations, Sales, Finance, HR, and Engineering.
• Evaluate and integrate third-party AI APIs and open-source models into internal tools.
• Build scalable React or Next.js interfaces, backend APIs, microservices, and data pipelines using Python, Node.js, or equivalent technologies.
• Architect cloud infrastructure and implement RAG pipelines, vector databases, and prompt engineering frameworks.
• Establish AI application governance, standards, registries, usage monitoring, cost reporting, and production approval processes.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver AI-powered tools addressing business needs.

Requirements

• 4–8 years of full stack software engineering experience, including at least 2 years working with AI/ML APIs or LLM-based applications in production.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience owning multiple software projects end-to-end, from architecture through deployment and maintenance.
• Proficiency with React, TypeScript, Next.js, Python and/or Node.js, REST or GraphQL APIs, and modern backend frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with LLM integration, vector databases, RAG architecture, cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, databases, and CI/CD.
• Strong SSDLC and DevSecOps knowledge, including threat modeling, OWASP Top 10, SAST/DAST, authentication, authorization, secrets management, and AI-specific security risks.

Nice to have

• Security certifications such as CSSLP, CompTIA Security+, or AWS Security Specialty.
• Experience building internal developer platforms, tooling portals, or enterprise AI application hubs.
• Background in robotics, IoT, or physical security technology.
• Knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI principles, the EU AI Act, or NIST AI RMF.
• Experience with Datadog, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and LLM performance and cost monitoring.
