Senior Full Stack Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Waltham, MA; New York, NY; or Princeton, NJ, United States

Salary: $128,000–$192,000 per year, plus an annual discretionary performance bonus.

What you will do

• Architect and deliver scalable cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP using serverless, containers, event-driven microservices, and Kubernetes.
• Build AI/ML integrations, including prompt engineering, RAG patterns, agent orchestration, multimodal applications, and streaming responses.
• Own the full stack, from accessible React and React Native interfaces to Django REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Develop real-time features with WebRTC, WebSockets, and Server-Sent Events, while collaborating with data engineering teams on pipeline integration.
• Lead architecture decisions, code reviews, technical standards, roadmaps, mentoring, and agile delivery.
• Establish testing, CI/CD, security, observability, incident response, and post-mortem practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building production-grade software solutions with demonstrated technical leadership.
• Expertise in React, React Native, Redux or Zustand, TypeScript, modern JavaScript, Python, Django, REST, GraphQL, asyncio, or FastAPI.
• Expertise with LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, AWS Bedrock, OpenAI APIs, token optimization, cost management, and AI agent development.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; serverless and container platforms; Docker; CI/CD; IAM; OAuth; JWT; and SSO.
• Experience with relational, NoSQL, and semantic databases, schema design, query optimization, and testing frameworks including Jest, Pytest, or Selenium.
• Life sciences background required; the role is hybrid in one of the listed United States locations.

Nice to have

• Cloud or AI developer certifications.
• Experience shipping AI-powered features to production, contributing to open source, or optimizing PWA and edge-computing solutions.
