Location: Phoenix, Arizona, USA, or Las Vegas, Nevada, USA; the ideal candidate must reside in Phoenix or Las Vegas.

hirify.global provides analytical testing services across food, environmental, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, clinical, and other life sciences sectors. The Built Environment Testing business provides industrial hygiene and indoor air quality services, including asbestos, mold, bacteria, VOC, Legionella, radon, lead, and silica testing.

What you will do

  • Lead, schedule, train, and evaluate laboratory personnel while coordinating work across departments.
  • Oversee daily laboratory, quality, logistics, safety, and managerial operations.
  • Manage technical activities, quality control, records, standard operating procedures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Own laboratory budgeting, operating costs, capital expenses, revenue growth, profit margins, and annual financial targets.
  • Analyze operating indicators such as labor costs, turnaround time, and productivity, and implement performance improvements.
  • Maintain client and industry relationships and support technical proposals, quotations, marketing strategies, and business expansion plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent directly related experience; an MS or PhD is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of supervisory experience and 10 years of professional laboratory operations experience, including at least 5 years leading large or multi-department teams with profit-and-loss accountability for a $5M+ operation or equivalent.
  • Experience improving operational, profit, quality, and safety performance and managing operating budgets.
  • Knowledge of laboratory operations and EPA, DOT, OSHA, and DOL regulations.
  • Strong verbal, written, customer relations, negotiation, decision-making, problem-solving, prioritization, and delegation skills.
  • Professional working proficiency in English is required, and authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship is required.
