Assistant Preconstruction Manager

Salary: $82,000–$117,000 per year

What you will do

• Support preconstruction services from initial project intent through construction documents.
• Assist with project budgets, bid proposals, trade quantification, and written scopes of work.
• Review technical and financial information from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare RFIs during pricing and help develop cost-saving solutions.
• Coordinate deliverables, review work quality, and contribute to decisions across multiple projects.
• Train Project Engineers and work productively with minimal oversight.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of field experience or close involvement with projects under construction.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience with project scheduling and phasing.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel, On Screen Take-off, and Adobe products including Bluebeam.
