Construction Project Manager (HVAC)

Location: Hybrid in Roanoke, Virginia, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday and flexible work location on Fridays.

Annual base salary: $60,000–$109,340 USD. Incentive eligible; not eligible for sales commission.

What you will do

• Manage all aspects of a multi-million-dollar construction, energy services, and HVAC controls project portfolio, including financials, administration, implementation, and customer satisfaction.
• Support sales through quote preparation, project development, proposals, and total-solution scoping.
• Validate project scope, cost, schedules, contract documents, customer expectations, and pre-bid requirements.
• Manage change orders by identifying opportunities, developing solutions, preparing quotes, applying pricing strategies, and closing orders.
• Lead customer, internal, and subcontractor communication; oversee subcontractor selection, RFQs, awards, execution, billing expectations, safety, and project meetings.
• Manage project financials, schedules, dependencies, milestones, critical paths, resources, documentation, compliance, safety, contract penalties, corrective actions, and governing-agency requirements.

Requirements

• Advanced understanding of the development phase for construction energy projects and opportunities, with knowledge of construction systems and technologies.
• Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Project Management degree, or a combination of a degree and 5–10 years of experience.
• Experience with project scheduling and project management construction software.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to successfully lead a project team.
• Ability to mentor other project managers and influence without authority.
• Strong organizational expertise and verbal and written communication skills.
