Maintenance Shop Tech A (Heavy-Duty Trucks)

Location: St George, Utah, USA; swing shift from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

What you will do

• Repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel heavy-duty trucks and refuse equipment.
• Diagnose and repair chassis, suspension, drivetrain, steering, braking, hydraulic, electrical, HVAC, and engine systems.
• Perform diesel fuel-system, aftertreatment, REGEN, and emissions diagnostics.
• Use scan tools and electronic diagnostic equipment to identify malfunctions and electrical concerns.
• Complete line maintenance, welding, fabrication, inspections, and roadside repairs.
• Complete company training programs and support drivers operating the fleet.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience working as a technician on heavy-duty trucks.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and perform complex repairs with limited supervision.
• Experience with several heavy-truck or automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, drivetrains, suspension, steering, and diesel emissions.
• Ability to work the 3:00 PM–12:00 AM swing shift.

Nice to have

• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications T1–T8.
• LNG or CNG experience.
• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License; CDL B preferred.
