Senior Heavy-Duty Vehicle Technician (Electric Refuse Vehicles)

Location: Remote, Idaho, United States; extensive travel required, including frequent overnight stays and assignments away from home for several weeks

Pay range: $73,200–$117,800 per year across U.S. locations.

What you will do

• Perform advanced repairs, technical installations, diagnostics, and servicing for Volterra ZSL electric refuse collection vehicles.
• Inspect and troubleshoot different vehicle types and determine effective resolutions.
• Train and mentor technicians on troubleshooting and parts identification.
• Support quality-control issue resolution and provide on-site customer training.
• Maintain service records, customer interaction documentation, parts usage records, and an orderly service truck.
• Provide professional customer service while maintaining safe working conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and five or more years of relevant experience in machine assembly, light fabrication, or contracting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to possess a DOT card.
• Strong mechanical, technical, customer relationship, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 90% with frequent overnight stays and extended periods away from home.
• Ability to work across office, field, and production environments, including standing, climbing, moderate lifting up to 50 pounds, varying temperatures, and noise.
