Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift

What you will do

• Repair, adjust, modify, and perform preventive maintenance on distribution-center equipment and hardware.
• Maintain conveyor systems and powered material-handling equipment, including fork trucks and batteries.
• Repair electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire-safety, and other facility systems.
• Test repairs and adjustments to confirm safe equipment operation.
• Repair dock doors, install racks, and maintain spare-parts inventory.
• Track work orders, preventive-maintenance activities, inventory, and maintenance reports using spreadsheets, databases, or maintenance software.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical or trade-school certificate in facility maintenance or a related field is preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• At least two years of distribution or manufacturing maintenance experience, including mechanical and industrial skills and HVAC experience.
• Experience with powered conveyor systems, fork-truck equipment, and computer-based maintenance systems.
• Proficiency in electromechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC controllers, MIG and ARC welding, and blueprint interpretation.
• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds continuously, work around moving equipment and hazardous products, and work alternate shifts as required.
