TL;DR
Lead Care Manager (Behavioral Health): Overseeing complex pediatric and maternity care plans and coordinating behavioral health, social, and healthcare services with an accent on high-acuity cases, quality compliance, and personalized member support. Focus on reviewing complex member data, guiding care management teams and providers, and improving treatment outcomes for mental health and substance use needs.

Location: Remote, candidates must reside in North Carolina. Approximately 10% travel may be required for meetings or team events in Raleigh or Charlotte. Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Salary: $87,000–$161,300 per year.

What you will do

  • Oversee complex pediatric and maternity care plans, including behavioral health and social determinant needs.
  • Review member data, identify health risks and care gaps, and revise plans based on clinical symptoms, treatment complications, and changing needs.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers, specialists, behavioral healthcare professionals, and community resources.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, guidance, training, and education to care management staff and providers.
  • Support audits, monitor quality and productivity metrics, and ensure compliance with corporate, state, federal, payer, and NCQA standards.
  • Partner with leadership on escalated cases and improve cost-effective care delivery.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Behavioral Health or Social Work, or a degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • 5–7 years of related experience.
  • Licensed Master's Behavioral Health Professional, such as LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LMHC, or LPC, or RN according to state contract requirements.
  • Behavioral health experience is required.
  • Must reside in North Carolina.
