Solutions Architect - ERP D365 (Dynamics 365)

A specialty distributor providing water, wastewater, storm drainage, and fire protection products and related services across the United States.

What you will do

• Define and document the Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations financial architecture, design decisions, and enterprise alignment.
• Develop a future-state vision and multi-year roadmap for the ERP platform.
• Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into D365 F&O and Power Platform solutions.
• Lead end-to-end Finance solution design across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank, and Budgeting.
• Design demonstrations, proof-of-concept solutions, integrations, and third-party SaaS architectures.
• Guide developers and business systems analysts while preparing project effort and resource estimates with PMO, development, and QA teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of IT experience with increasing responsibility in ERP or enterprise systems.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience building financial solutions with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP/IFRS, revenue recognition, intercompany accounting, eliminations, reporting, and compliance.
• Experience designing multi-company environments, financial consolidations, reporting hierarchies, auditability, and internal controls.
• Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Wholesale distribution or manufacturing industry experience.
• Dynamics 365, Power Platform, or Azure certifications.
• Experience with Power Automate and Azure Integration Services.
• Experience working in Waterfall and Agile environments.
