Solution Architect SAP - Finance & Controlling (R2R)

Location: US entities; regular commuting required to Wexford, Westbrook, or West Columbia. Occasional domestic and international travel is required, with increased travel during the first 12–18 months.

Salary: $110,000–$140,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Design, implement, document, and continuously improve SAP S/4HANA Finance, Controlling, and Accounting solutions.
• Translate finance business requirements into scalable solution designs and drive Record-to-Report process standardization, simplification, and automation.
• Maintain and evolve the global SAP Finance template while promoting SAP standard functionality and limiting unnecessary custom development.
• Support transformation activities including workshops, fit-gap analyses, testing, rollouts, and deployment.
• Act as a trusted advisor to Finance stakeholders and coordinate with solution architects, Global Process Owners, SAP teams, and implementation partners.
• Provide expert support for complex incidents, enhancements, escalation management, and third-level support coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, Business Informatics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of Finance, Controlling, and Accounting processes with profound experience in SAP Finance and Controlling environments.
• Hands-on SAP S/4HANA Finance experience, including FI, CO, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Revenue Accounting & Reporting, Internal Orders, and Financial Reporting.
• Experience gathering business requirements, creating SAP solution designs, and supporting ERP projects, rollouts, enhancements, or transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of Finance integration with cross-functional processes and legal Finance requirements in the Americas.
• Fluent English and willingness to commute regularly to a US entity are required.

Nice to have

• SAP S/4HANA Finance certifications.
• Experience with Sovos Tax Solutions for SAP.
