Director, Wine Logistics

Location: Paso Robles, California, USA, with logistics teams in Tucson, Arizona

Salary: $180,000–$210,000 per year, with a possible discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead wholesale logistics and supply chain strategy to improve on-time delivery, efficiency, and scalability.
• Develop direct-to-consumer logistics plans and manage collaboration with third-party logistics partners.
• Oversee order management, customer service, returns processing, and customer fulfillment activities.
• Manage inbound and outbound transportation, including CPU, FTL/LTL, parcel, and hospitality transfers.
• Oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, storage optimization, product traceability, and external warehouse validations.
• Monitor logistics KPIs, negotiate provider and distributor contracts, and implement process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive logistics or supply chain experience, ideally in wine, beverage, or food manufacturing and distribution.
• Experience leading multi-site logistics or distribution operations and managing teams.
• Strong expertise in ERP, WMS, TMS, and inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of global logistics, temperature-controlled shipping, and U.S. and international alcohol distribution regulations.
• Strong negotiation, communication, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in the wine, alcohol, beverage, food manufacturing, distribution, or luxury goods sectors.
• MBA or advanced knowledge of U.S. and international alcohol distribution regulations.
