Commercial Construction Superintendent - Multifamily

Location: Falls Church, Virginia, United States; on-site construction role

Base salary: $99,000–$150,700 per year, with performance-based bonuses and a benefits package.

What you will do

• Direct on-site project workflow in line with the schedule, safety program, and quality standards.
• Lead site staff and subcontractors, communicate project priorities, and serve as the primary site liaison.
• Coordinate with the project manager on sequencing, schedule commitments, installation methods, and long-lead items.
• Maintain daily activity and site-condition logs, work orders, tickets, punch lists, and closeout documentation.
• Manage jobsite safety, incident reporting, inspections, and subcontractor compliance.
• Organize site resources and collaborate with project management and site operations throughout the project.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Strong knowledge of building processes and construction best practices.
• Experience as a superintendent or project lead is preferred; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred, with additional experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to organize people, tools, time, and other resources while meeting tight deadlines.
• Ability to use project-specific software, including Microsoft Office, Procore, Adobe, and Bluebeam.
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds; OSHA 30 certification is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with tenant renovations, service work, occupied spaces, weekend work, or fast-paced projects.
• OSHA 30 certification.
