Superintendent (Construction)

Location: Austin, TX; on-site construction work with travel to project sites and availability for long-term out-of-town assignments

Estimated pay: $89,600.00–$143,000.00 per year

What you will do

• Manage on-site construction activities, field operations, productivity, schedules, budgets, cost codes, production units, and reporting.
• Coordinate trade contractors, suppliers, owners, design teams, city officials, government agencies, and private agencies.
• Develop and maintain project-specific safety and quality control plans, lead safety meetings, and correct jobsite hazards.
• Review plans and specifications, support constructability reviews, pre-construction planning, quantity take-offs, pricing estimates, procurement, and project scheduling.
• Resolve jobsite challenges, document corrections and changes, manage inspections, and maintain punchlist and close-out procedures.
• Support proposals, presentations, marketing efforts, client loyalty, and industry relationship development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field with 6+ years of directly related experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent with 10+ years of directly related experience.
• Proficiency with Procore, P6, MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD, and project management software.
• Strong understanding of building plans and specifications, value engineering, life cycle costing, construction safety, and compliance.
• Current or ability to become current with OSHA 30 and company safety requirements.
• Ability to climb, walk, lift, carry, push, perform repetitive motions, occasionally carry up to 100 pounds, and work in extreme climate conditions.
• Ability to travel to project sites and accept long-term out-of-town assignments; forklift certification is preferred.
