Principal Specialist - Strategic Sourcing

What you will do

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for assigned categories, aligning procurement activities with business objectives.
• Manage end-to-end sourcing processes, including market analysis, RFP/RFQ management, supplier evaluation, negotiations, contracting, and purchase orders.
• Identify, vet, onboard, and manage suppliers, particularly for hard-to-source or specialized components.
• Analyze spend data and market trends to identify cost-saving, efficiency, and process-improvement opportunities.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to orders, quality, delivery, pricing, contractual terms, and service-level agreements.
• Lead cross-functional sourcing projects and support production readiness, new product introductions, engineering approvals, change control, and product phase-outs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a complex multinational environment.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, project management, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with supplier relationships, cost savings, efficiency improvements, contract law, regulatory compliance, and supply-chain risk mitigation.
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques, market-trend analysis, and global supply-chain dynamics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics ERP.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or relevant certifications such as CPSM or CIPS.
