Design Supervisor (Power Delivery)

What you will do

• Manage an overhead and underground facilities design team, including designers and lead designers.
• Define project scope, resources, schedules, objectives, and completion measures with leadership, designers, and clients.
• Oversee distribution design activities such as inventory, pole boring, structural analysis, and construction prints.
• Monitor project progress, maintain documentation, and adjust plans to meet client and company requirements.
• Review and approve design quality, timesheets, project closings, and submitted work.
• Attend client, pre-engineering, pre-construction, and internal project meetings while providing feedback and mentoring to designers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in distribution or storm hardening design.
• Ability to solve design and employee-related issues and make decisions on mid- to high-complexity projects.
• Ability to follow safety procedures during field work, including pre-job briefings and vehicle inspections.

Nice to have

• Experience managing design personnel, including senior designers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
• Experience leading pre-engineering and pre-construction meetings.
• Experience conducting comprehensive work reviews and job closings.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
